Sunquest Problems and Solutions

Problem: Sunquest Version 6.2 translating the expiry date as format dd/mm/yyyy.

Solution: This issue is addressed in CR#1-20P69F - BPE: Exp. datebarcode incorrectly translated based on date format site parameter. The UK sites have their date formate site parameter set to A1, which is dd/mm/yyyy. They are scanning a barcode that has an untranslated value of A20052454a at the expiration date prompt in blood product entry. This is supposed to translate to a date of Sep 2, 2005 or in A1 format, 02/09/2005. When this barcode is scanned in version 6.x, however, the system is dropping in an expiration date of 09/02/2005. This same barcode translates correctly to 02/09/2005 in a 5.3 area. This is fixed inthe 6.4 version of code. The current workaround is to enter this date manually.
